What you see is real. Each preview is page one of a PDF that CastPDF made from sample data.

How it works

How templates work

A template is your document with blanks to fill in. You design it once. After that, every set of details you send becomes a new, finished PDF.

  1. 1Pick a template

Start from one of the six below. Each is a real document, made by CastPDF from sample data.

  2. 2Make it yours

Change the words, logo, colours and fonts. The live preview shows every change as you type.

  3. 3Send your data

Your app sends the details that change, like names and prices. A finished PDF comes straight back.

Choosing

Which template should you pick?

Start from the one closest to your document. You can change everything later, so there is no wrong choice.

Not sure yet? Open a template’s page. You will see every field it fills, its sample data, and answers to common questions about that document.

Change anything

Every template is made of HTML and CSS, the same code as a web page. If you know a little of it, you can change anything: the layout, the fonts, the page size.

Don’t code? You can still change the words and colours in the editor and try your own details. Every save is a new version, and your last 50 versions are kept.

Templates in the docs

Don’t see your document?

Start from a blank page, or adapt the closest template. Most business documents are close cousins of an invoice, a report or a letter.

Or tell us what you need. Your request helps us choose the next templates.
